Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor and a TV presenter. The host of her show is Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Cook she demonstrates easy-to-master methods and her signature blonde spiky locks. Chef Burrell has worked in various top eateries located in New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy, and battled on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was fascinated by food. She pursued her love of the industry of restaurant management by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America after earning a degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing adventure for me. There was no way to be able to learn, do or work enough. Chef Burrell was a graduate of the Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy worked for one year in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, an Michelin-starred establishment. While in Italy made her more aware and appreciate the Italian tradition and philosophy, and has made an impression on her food and culinary experience. Burrell was part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which aims to enrich children's lives who are facing challenges. She is also a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador who promotes the awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. In her capacity as an inspirational speaker, she goes on a tour across the United States to speak about her passion for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. Anne stated that she felt privileged in that she could impart her enthusiasm to the people around her.
