Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel SOFER is an American
actress. Her performances include daytime television guests, occasional guest
performances and television-friendly films. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime
Emmy Award for her performance of Lois Cerullo in the soap opera General
Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her role on CBS's soap opera The Bold and The
Beautiful since 2013. Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a psychologist
professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). After the divorce of her
parents and her family moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer
emigrated with her brother David and father to Teaneck in New Jersey. They
resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. They lived in
Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father led Beth Samuels Jewish Center. In the
following years, she attended the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which
is co-educational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer lived in North
Bergen, New Jersey and her father was the synagogue's rabbi Temple Beth El. She
completed her studies at North Bergen High School, later attending classes at
Montclair State College. Sofer was Lois Marie Cerullo for the first time on
General Hospital. Her first appearance came in 1993, as a band manager. Her
first television role was as Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap host on the opera.
Sofer is perhaps most well-known for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo on General
Hospital (December 15 1993 - September 24 1996). She then returned as guest
star (February 7-17 September 30, 1997 - October 2, 1997). In 1995, Sofer won a
Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series for
her portrayal as Lois. Sofer was asked to join CBS soap opera The Bold and the
Beautiful in the newly created role in the role of Quinn Fuller. Her first
episode aired on July 12. Sofer has appeared as a guest star/supporting cast
member in a variety of primetime high-profile television shows, such as
Seinfeld and Melrose Place. Her debut episode aired July 12.
