Jillian Noel Hennessy
Jillian Noel Hennessy is a Canadian actor and singer from Canada. Her roles on American television shows Law & Order were three-seasons long. Crossing Jordan lasted six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh was her lead character. She also appeared as an actress in films such as RoboCop 3: Most Wanted as well as the independent films Chutney Popcorn (which she also co-directed) and The Acting Class (which was written by her). Hennessy was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy her father was an executive in sales and marketing. This required frequent travel that led to numerous family moves. Maxine Her mother was a secretary. Her daughter was taken away by Eleanor her paternal grandmother from Kitchener, Ontario. John Paul Hennessy Jr. Her younger brother is Jacqueline Hennessy who is an identical twin, who is a magazine journalist and TV host in Canada. Hennessy is a mixture of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian heritage on her father's side as well as most Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She was educated at Stanley Park Senior Public School and then graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute in Kitchener, Ontario and busked in the Toronto subway. Hennessy along with her sister and her first role on stage was as twin call-girls in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress who ultimately got the role, stated that she was shortlisted to portray Dana Scully in The X-Files. The role lasted for three seasons before she quit the show in 1996.
